St. James is a thriving, growing parish, located in downtown Zanesville, Ohio, just off I-70. This is a small city with a rich history, an expanding business economy and a strong agricultural industry. We are located about 55 miles east of Columbus, Ohio and 135 miles west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Zanesville area has been described as where "...the Northeast meets the Midwest and touches Appalachia". We will celebrated our 185th anniversary in the fall of 2001. We are welcoming to newcomers, reverent in our worship, and active in our outreach and social concern ministries. Let us tell you more about us. We would like to learn about you too. St. James is the only Episcopal Church serving several counties in southeastern Ohio. We are a part of a cluster of churches in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio. We are also a part of the Episcopal Church, USA, and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
