Prevention,
Retention,
& Contingency (PRC) Program
The PRC program provides a variety
of short-term assistance and services to eligible families in Licking
County.
General services include:
Contingent Services
- Rent
- Security deposits
- Interest on mortgage
- Utilities
Employment & Training Services
- Job coaching and mentoring
- Short-term training
- Employment licensing fees
- Work Clothes/uniforms
- Work tools/equipment
- Work safety equipment
- Transportation services
- Vehicle repairs
- Vehicle Insurance
- Short-term auto payments
Home Repairs
Basic home repairs offered. Eligible
applicants must own the home, have a land contract or a life lease.
Am I eligible?
A family must meet the following criteria
for PRC services:
- A child under age 18 must reside
in
the home
- The family must meet income
guidelines
Income guidelines vary for services and
other
criteria may apply. Generally, families must fall at or below
135%
of the poverty level to receive contingent services and at or below
200%
of the poverty level for employment services. Poverty guidelines

Pregnant women and noncustodial parents
may be eligible for services. For an accurate determination of
eligibility,

How do I apply?
Applicants must complete an application
and provide the following verifications:
Last 30 days of gross income (before taxes). This includes earned
and unearned income such as:
- pay stubs or a signed employer
statement --
the pay stubs must reflect all income received in the last 30 days
- child support payments received in
the
last
30 days
- unemployment compensation (bring
an
award
letter)
- veteran's assistance (bring an
award
letter
or signed statement from the Veteran's Administration)
- social security -- survivor
benefits
or disability
(bring your award letter for the current year)
- any other earned or unearned
income in
the
last 30 days.
- A statement to verify available
resources,
such as a current checking or savings account statement.
Proof of amount due for rent, utilities, phone services, etc.
Verification of employment if you are requesting employment services.
(An
adult member of the household must be working or at work and in
training
a minimum of 30 hours per week and earning minimum wage or the
equivalent
of 30 hours at minimum wage to qualify for employment services.)

on the requested service.
